How we work, in full.
No hourly creep, no vague quotes, no chasing us for files. This page sets out exactly how an engagement runs — what we do, what we need from you, what it costs and how it ends. If any of it does not suit you, better to know now than in week three.
Engagements
Three shapes a project takes.
We do not publish a price list, because a logo for a two-person consultancy and a logo for a company opening forty locations are not the same job. What we do publish is the shape of the work, so you can tell which one you are asking for before you get in touch.
Brand Sprint
2 weeksA focused engagement to land the core mark and the handful of applications you need to start trading properly.
- Discovery call and written brief
- Three original concept directions
- Two refinement rounds
- Full file suite and usage sheet
Identity System
4–6 weeksThe complete identity and the rules that keep it consistent, for teams who need more than one person applying the brand.
- Brand audit and competitor review
- Five directions, narrowed to one
- Colour, type and layout system
- Guidelines, collateral and social kit
Design Partner
MonthlyAn ongoing design function for teams shipping continuously — a standing allocation of design time against a rolling queue.
- Agreed monthly design allocation
- A named designer, not a ticket queue
- Two business-day standard turnaround
- Month to month, 30 days’ notice to end
Commercial terms
What it costs, and when you pay.
We quote on scope. The number you are given is the number you pay, in US dollars, and it does not move unless you ask for something that was not in the brief — in which case we quote the change before doing it.
A fixed fee, in writing
After the briefing call you receive a written scope: deliverables, revision rounds, delivery date and a total fee in USD. Nothing is charged and no work begins until you approve it.
Half up front, half on delivery
Project engagements are invoiced 50% to begin and 50% on approval of the final work, before files are released. Design Partner arrangements are invoiced monthly in advance.
Files on final payment
Once the balance clears, every file is delivered and full commercial rights in the approved designs transfer to you. There is no ongoing licence fee and nothing to renew.
The stages
Four stages, and what each one asks of you.
A project moves at the speed of its slowest feedback loop. Here is exactly where we need you, so you can plan for it.
Discover
A briefing call, then a written brief you sign off. We look at your market, your competitors and where the brand is losing ground.
From you: one hour on a call, any existing brand files, and sign-off on the brief.
Direction
Distinct directions explored in parallel and presented in context — where the brand will actually live, not on a white square.
From you: one consolidated response choosing a direction, within five business days.
Refine
The chosen direction is sharpened across the agreed rounds. Feedback is consolidated so the work moves forward rather than sideways.
From you: one written set of feedback per round, gathered from everyone who gets a say.
Handover
Every file, format and guideline, organised and named, delivered by email and secure download link.
From you: written approval and settlement of the final invoice.
